In the Spotlight (Ep. 1): The Usos

In the Spotlight: The Usos

If you've been watching WWE over the past year and a half, you know that Jimmy and Jey Uso have ditched the face paint for something different. In September of 2016, The Usos shocked the WWE Universe by attacking American Alpha after a match. The fans had turned their backs on them earlier in the year, and The Usos took advantage of it. I think it's safe to say that they have had much success ever since.

After feuding with American Alpha, in March, The Usos finally beat them in a title match; winning the Smackdown Live Tag Team Championships for the first time.

Unfortunately, they weren't given a chance to defend their tag team titles at Wrestlemania 33. Instead, they wrestled on the pre-show in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

After a short feud with Breezango, they began feuding with the debuting New Day team that was brought to Smackdown during the Superstar Shakeup.

In my opinion, New vs. The Usos was the best rivalry throughout all of 2017.

From their first match at Money in the Bank, to their last match at Hell in a Cell, both teams gave it their all every night. Each time both teams got in the ring together, you knew something special was going to happen in the ring.

Currently, The Usos are feuding with Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin. I'm hoping that this rivalry is entertaining and that Jimmy and Jey will come out on top; still holding the titles.

I would love to see The Usos hold the titles until Wrestlemania 34 and defend them at the show. After the year that they had in 2017, The Usos have earned the right to be featured on the main card of Wrestlemania.

I hope that 2018 leads to more success for these guys.

Let me know in the comments below why or why not you've been "Down since Day 1" with The Usos.

Stay tough, and stay positive.

  5. Everything you just said about the Usos is so true. Ever since their Heel turn they have been killing it on Smackdown live (Team Blue baby). Countless performances over 2017 and the constant updates of their moveset makes me have so much respect for them. Hope they have an amazing 2018 they deserve it

  6. Before the face paint and the heel turn. When they debut with tamina years ago and had that feud with The Hart Dynasty I’ve been down since they debut. I agree with you hoopsie New day & usos has the best matches in 2017. They remind me of the days when Edge & Christian, The Hardy Boyz, and The Dudley Boyz had those epic matches I’ll put new day & the usos up there with them. - from ya boy QQQ
