Thoughts on WWE's Latest Signings
Yesterday, January 16, WWE officially signed four new wrestlers. Each one of them is pretty well-known to the pro wrestling community. The four people that were signed are: Hanson and Raymond Rowe (War Machine), Trevor "Ricochet" Mann, and Candice LeRae.
War Machine
I'm don't know too much about War Machine, but I do know that they are good. I had the pleasure of watching them at Wrestle Kingdom 12 and was impressed. They bring a lot of intensity to their matches; their size, strength, and power will easily help them dominate their opponents. NXT's tag team division is really only focused around 3 major teams right now, so I think that War Machine will be a great addition to the brand. I'm really interested in seeing them in a rivalry with Authors of Pain and SAnitY. War Machine had success in NJPW by winning the IWGP Tag Team Championship twice, and in Ring of Honor by winning the ROH World Tag Team Championship once.
Candice LeRae
I heard about Candice LeRae sometime in 2016, but never saw her wrestle until last year in WWE's Mae Young Classic tournament. Before losing to Shayna Baszler in the quarterfinals of the tournament, she defeated Renee Michelle and Nicole Savoy. I expect for Candice to come after Shayna, since Shayna attacked her after the match in the tournament. With the NXT women's division declining at the moment, she would bring a lot to the table. She almost reminds me of Trish Stratus with her in-ring work, upbeat personality, and simple because it's hard not to like her. Candice frequently teamed with Joey Ryan in the independent scene, which I think is awesome, and they were known as The World's Cutest Tag Team. Also, she's wrestled the likes of current WWE superstars Kevin Owens and Cesaro. It's no surprise that Candice has won several championships throughout the many promotions that she's wrestled in.
Trevor "Ricochet" Mann
I'm just going to start off by saying that Ricochet is one of the best wrestlers I have ever seen. He's such a creative high-flyer and has done moves that nobody else has done before. I first became a fan of his when I started watching Lucha Underground when it came out on Netflix last year. Within that company, he was known as Prince Puma. So if you have Netflix and you've never seen him wrestle before, I highly recommend watching his matches in LU so you can know why people speak so highly of him. I'm really excited to see him become part of an already-stacked NXT singles division. Also, there are a lot of dream matches in store for whenever he hits the main roster. His accomplishments are incredible and I expect him to achieve much more with WWE. I truly believe that Ricochet can be a big star in the company and that he is the future of pro wrestling.
I'm even more excited for the future of WWE after these latest signings.
In the comments below, let me know who you're most excited about (whether it's one, all, or none of them)!
Stay tough, and stay positive.

Another great Blog Hoops.
ReplyDeleteLove reading them ♥
Keep it up
When it comes to NXT.
There is no doubt all 4 of them.
Will become even bigger stars in NXT and get good programs before being called up.
However.
Looking at the bigger picture.
I am always worried.
WWE does not have a great trackrecord when they call someone up from NXT.
Hopefully that will change in 2018
